Christopher Ranney, owner of Long Haul Photo in Sandwich, began working in digital photography in 2002. Chris is a member of the International Society for Aviation Photography and a Gold member of the Nikonians. He has studied with Steve Simon of New York and Stan Godwin of Stan Godwin Photography Workshops of Brewster.

His photos have been published in Scuba Diving Magazine and the Sandwich Enterprise. He provided the cover photo for the First Church of Christ, Sandwich Membership Directory and his iconic photograph of The Jonathan Bourne Library Cupola has become the library’s trademark.

Chris' photo "Steam Power" has been selected as a finalist in WCVB's Chronicle "Snapshot's of New England" contest. Copies of the photo are available in the "Railroads" album on this website.

Commercially, Chris has also provided images for brochures and web sites. His work is currently being used by the Fawcett Companies http://www.fawcettenergy.com/south_shore_fuel.html , Craigville Conference Center http://craigvilleretreats.org/ and The Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ.
